Clinic performance

As an officially recognized Health Centre level III, the clinic plays an incremental role in immunization, malaria treatment and prevention, in HIV testing and counseling, and in pregnancy testing and counseling, all services provided on behalf of the Ministry of Health. The district authorities supervise the clinic  which has to submit annual accounts, and visit it regularly.

While the number of outdoor patients varies according to external factors (bad harvest, general financial situation), indoor patient numbers still rise. This shows that people turn to the clinic when they are seriously ill in spite of  being hard up.
The clinic is very successful in mother and child care on all levels, antenatal and postnatal, and especially with deliveries in the new maternity wing.
